Figured this'd be the best place to put this. So, here's the low-down. This is a thread started so people can show how clever they are. Especially me. The process is quite simple; you post a riddle, someone solves it, rinse and repeat. You don't have to solve a riddle to post one, and multiple riddles are allowed. However, I'm adding a element of competition. Whenever someone solves one of my riddles, they will be awarded points. First person to 1,000 points wins. A prize is available, but I can't tell you what it is. Alright people, lets get cracking!

What lies behind the Green Glass Doors?
There are cattle, but no cows.
There are queens, but not kings.
There are no shoes, soles or toes, only feet.
There are no fields, only grass.
There are no forsests, only trees.

It's a wild shot in the dark here, but I'm gonna guess either nothing or contradiction.

20 Points to Phoenix. Sorry Coffee, better luck next time. New riddle.

A man is going to be executed. The night before his execution, the jailer goes down to the cells to talk to the doomed man. The jailer tells him that if he may make one statement. If it is true, he will be hanged. If it is false, he will be drowned. What must the doomed man say to confuse the jailer and be set free?

Prolly either

"I'm not going to be hanged"
or
"I'm going to be drowned"

or something like that.

He says "I'm going to be drowned"

He gets off because its a true statement and therefore is to be hung. If he is to be hung, it is a lie and will be drowned. If he is drowned, it is truth... and so forth.

Its a paradox.

20 points to Mikhail for the answer and reason. The score thus far;

Mikhail: 20
Phoenix: 20

Controlled by man,
Commonly abused,
Sign of intelligence,
Played by those who muse.
What is it?

A pearl in an oyster.

I'd post one, but I really don't have any.

I've got one for ya

Last month, the Berger family moved in to an apartment which is adjacent to the apartment occupied by the Anders family. One fine afternoon, Mrs. Berger called on Mrs. Anders to get acquainted with the Anders family. In the course of the conversation, when Mrs. Berger enquired Mrs. Anders about the age of her daughter Louella, Mrs. Anders responded cryptically, “ When she was born, I was precisely five times the age of her brother Louis. In six years time, Louella will be one third of my age.”

At this point, Mrs. Berger requested for some additional information when Mrs. Anders replied, ” The sum of squares of the digits of my husband’s present age ,when expressed in years, is two more than my current age in years. My current age is nine years more than that of Louis’ father when Louis was born”.

Determine the current ages of Mr. Anders, Mrs. Anders and their two children from the above statements.

Mr. Anders is 45
Mrs. Anders is 39
Louis is 15
Louella is 9

So far, all answers have been wrong. None of them can be "played", per se. As for Duckie's riddle, the closest I could get was:

Mr. Anders: 35
Mrs. Anders: 32
Louis: 12
Louella: 7
