Running Again
Whew. It feels pretty good to be rolling again, getting stuff done, and just drawing in general. Now, as I said the other week, Alice had infact burned through her 2nd graphics card in her 4+ years of opperation. She's got a replacement card (which incidentally is an exact copy of her 2nd card), but I am less than satisfied with this solution. Between the dying graphics cards, and alice's general age, I have decided (with her agreement) that it is an ideal time to UPGRADE.
Because Alice's motherboard architecture is one that is no longer an actively supported architecture, to upgrade her beyond anything cosmetic (new case with better ariflow and circulation for example) I'd have to change out everything save her harddrives and CD-rom. So, I'm starting up a donation drive to help acquire the capital to manage this endevor. It works just like the regular monthly wallpaper donation: anyone who donates more than $1US to the cause recieves the exclusive wallpaper:
However, unlike the normal monthly wallpaper, this image will only be available this once. When the fundraiser ends (either when the necessary funds are reached or around the end of the month whichever comes first) this image will not be available ever again. Furthermore, anyone who donates more than $20US to Alice's cause will recieve a signed and NUMBERED 8.5x11" print of the image. There will be NO MORE than 100 prints made. Period. So if there are 103 people who donate more than $20, those last three people will NOT recieve a print. Sorry, that's the hazzard of limited edition runs. So if you want it, or just want to see Alice stronger, faster, less likely to burn out from heat exhaustion, I advise haste. Thank you all in advance for helping me out like this.
Also, new comic means new close ups behind the vote icons, there's a new wallpaper for August to your left, and Penguin Adoption papers should be up and running very soon. I'll keep you notified when the little guys are ready to be taken home.
